Molybdenum's main characteristics are high hardness and corrosion's resistance. It is used in special steels' production. n the iron and steel industry it is used for the production or covering of parts exposed to use and corrosion, in special applications.
Molybdenum waste which origins from mechanical and manufacturing industry is made of scrap, powder, sludge which can’t return in the steel industry as it is because it contains foreign matters as lubricants or alumina, etc.
Spirit Srl has developed recycling processed of such waste, part of which was sent to the landfill. Our recycled “end of waste” products are:
- scrap to be shipped to iron and steel industry, which can be used directly in the formulation of the burden for the blast furnace
- powders for the metal pigments' sector
